6387 Coastal Rescue Base

Another set bought as part of a large deal. Don't recall seeing it before that deal though. Has a nice Jeep in it. Talk about Baywatch LEGO, but where's Pamela? :) (Actually, I prefer Erica Eleniak but that's a completely different story)

Year 1989, 351 pieces

...in all it's glory.

Backside.

Here's one of the vehicles, it tows a small boat. Rather nice if you ask me.

That's a clever and common design on outboard engines.

Winter?

And no rescue themed "house" is complete without a helicopter it seems.

Still, it's a pretty nice heli.

And here's the Jeep I tend to like.

To bad it has a fire hose though, not common for baywatchers to put put fires as far as I know. Perhaps it's a silicone pump for the female actresses?

Great pieces

Bars and the pretty nice windows.

6389 Fire Control Center

No town is complete w/o a fire station of some kind. I never owned one myself before the dark ages, but then again I did not have a lot of fires in my towns :)

Bought as part of a large deal.

Year 1991, 516 pieces

Awaiting an accident so they can go get busy...

And loo and behold! It happened! All units are gone, left is the chief with his coffee machine, a nice touch to the model btw.

As someone said at Lugnet, what's up with that future looking car?

The back is a tad more appealing though.

And it even opens to show the guts :)

Those car ports are nifty :)

And the compulsory heli in all it's glory and might.

That's a nice jeep but I would prefer a ladder car/truck.

Notice the inverted sloping big windows, I hope to use these in a big Mecha someday...

Update: See Lucifer!

The flag on top of it all is a nice touch and adds a lot of life into this set IMHO. It's cool to see a small brick like that do so much...

Great pieces

As mentioned, the windows are cool.
The garage doors are also quite cool but I'm having trouble seeing them in a MOC as is. But who knows?

6397 Gas N' Wash Express

Pretty nice gas station. Bought as part of a large deal.

Year 1992, 453 pieces

It's a shame some of the stickers overlap several pieces.

The wash thingie is cool :)

I kind of recognize this car, I think it's very identical to a car in another set that I had (and still have) before my dark ages.

Not sure though, gotta find out some day.

And a small trolley...

Ho-hum.

Side.

Other side, in case you did not notice :)

That's a nice roof, really!

And a tow truck :)

Great pieces

1 x 2 slope bricks 45 with 9 button print.
The wash-thingies.

6508 Wave Racer

Purchased as part of a big deal. Don't care for it much...

Year 1990, 35 pieces

What's up with that propeller, really?

I think this had been a good set if it had had a normal outboard engine.

Great pieces

Uhm... The two 1 x 2 tile grille?

6540 Pier Police

Bought as part of a big deal. I'm surprised this set does not come with a helicopter :)

Year 1991, 327 pieces

That's a crowded port :)

Back. This set uses SNOT which is the first set I've noticed it in...

One of the boats.

And a _very_ small police car. It's also cropped 'cause I'm a bad photographer at times :)

Front, notice the dark gray tiles that take hits from the boats and protect them.

And an MC.

Side, the blue ventilation "ladder" on the side of the house is part of the SNOT technique used.

I like those bars, but I dunno what I can use them in yet :)

The white 1 x 2 tile should have a POLICE print on it.

Nice motor.

Top view.

Great pieces

Black windows
