ULV, the movie

January 9th there was an ULV-competition in Eskilstuna. I shot some 35 minutes of footage that's now edited down to almost eight minutes.

"eBay" find!

I recently joined the Swedish version of eBay, named Tradera. There I found set 802 with box. The box has lots of ball point markings on the back and at least one of the small red gears are missing (I have a few since before), the parts are in very good condition. I got it for SEK 77,- including shipping ($10 or €7) so I can hardly complain. :D

At the moment I'm quite hooked on Tradera bidding low on lot's of stuff, and loosing lot's of auctions. But I'm not there to win, I'm there to find bargains...

First BrickLink order

I was just browsing the onion domes, I had a plan for those last time I built. Wanted to see if they still were available in any set, which led me to Bricklink where I found 'em in a Swedish store. They were too cheap not to buy and while I was on it I ordered a few other parts. Oops!

This was certainly not my last Bricklink-purchase!

lotek.nu goes blog

My old page used to be at www.lotek.nu but fiddling with HTML is not very 2009, so now I've moved all the content to this blog. I've also added some new material that never made it to the old page. Enjoy!

SweBrick X

The Swedish AFOL's had a little get togheter in Fagersta. I shot some footage and edited this:

Here's my result after the "building blindfolded"-competition. Not so good, got three errors. One of the blue lights on the bar and both fenders turned the wrong direction.

Nice to build a little after a loooong rest from bricks. This is a small creek diorama.

Another competition was micro scale towns, I made this SciFi space Energy plant.

I also made this evil building.

Most of the attendees take photos of the ducklings (see the video).

TLG sponsored with lots of great prices, here's Harri with a big box of Star Wars. Personally I made second last place overall and "only" got a few small sets...

The day was turning into night and we all were a bit tired, strange things emerged...

Trying to remember one of the last MOCs I made before leaving the bricks I made this tank. 5 studs wide, up side down and half-stud centered lengths wise. Why make it easy?

It was a very good meeting, nice to see some old faces again and also meet a lot of new ones!

LEGOLAND

Went to visit a friend in Copenhagen. While in Denmark I just had to go to Billund and LEGOLAND for the first time. Enjoyed Miniland a lot but as there are already tons and tons of good photos from there on The Interweb™ I wont post that many...

Café "Pitten" and it's menu of sodas next to the Traffic School. In Swedish this literately means "The dick", I did not want to drink anything from it. :D

Miniland was invaded by some mallards, made some good waves for the boats. :D

Best thing about LEGOLAND was the amazing Power Builder ride, strap down yourself into a gigantic industrial robot and ride what you programmed. Tons of fun! Here's someone else's video of it:

Unfortunately the park was crowded with kids and what not so there was a looong line for most attractions. Shame, I'd love to ride the Power Builder several times. There's always next time...
